Diamond Buyers purchases all jewelry pieces or miscellaneous items like lighters, cigarette cases or perfume dispensers stamped 10kt, 14kt, 18kt, 22kt, 24kt gold. We also buy anything stamped platinum.
How Do You Know What You Have?
By law all gold items are to be stamped as to their gold content. However, over the years sometimes the stamps wear off or in the repair process are removed. This is what you should look for:
Gold – US Stamps 10kt, 14kt, 18kt, 22kt, 24kt
Gold – European Stamps 585 = 14kt 750 = 18kt
Platinum is stamped .95, or Plat., or 10% iridium platinum

Estate Jewelry, especially pieces made between 1875 and 1935, Prestige watches such as Rolex, Cartier, Patek Philippe and Briteling, and Diamonds 1ct.-10 cts.
Scrap Jewelry Sent to Us with Stones
We make no monetary allowance for small colored stones or diamonds. These are simply left in the items we melt. If you have prong set genuine colored stones or diamonds 3 millimeters or larger, we will remove and return them to you if requested. There is no charge to remove them. There will be a return mailing charge of $15 deducted from your settlement. We will return your stones to you USPS.
What We Don’t Buy We do not buy costume jewelry. Examples are pieces stamped Monet®, Trifari®, Sarah Coventry®, Avon®, or Napier®.
We do not buy gold plated jewelry which has no stamp or perhaps GP. We also do not buy gold filled or gold overlay jewelry.
Such jewelry is usually stamped 1/20th or 1/10th GF. Examples of companies making these products are Krementz, B.A. Ballou, Winard, and A& Z.
